YOGA CLASSES EVERY THURSDAY, 6-7:00 PM
There is always a new exercise trend; however, yoga has been practiced for thousands of years. The benefits are felt even with acute body pain. We say in yoga, work with some discomfort but never pain. No pain, no gain is the greatest business phrase for the orthopedist that treats fractures, overstretched tendons, torn ligaments, and other injuries.
Yoga comes in all shapes and sizes and there is at least one type that can help you. Dr. McGlynn uses some yoga postures to relieve acute pain, often starting on your first visit to McGlynn Chiropractic. Yoga will relax sore muscles, soften structural misalignments, stretch tight muscles, strengthen weak muscles; all while releasing mental tension and anxiety.
This is why we have this class.
Our classes are geared to the specific functional areas that patients are having issues with. Dr. McGlynn guides the class as well as makes slight modifications for safety which allows anyone to participate. We use cushions, balls, blankets, chairs, and other supports. As we continue to grow, more classes will be available to address a higher level of intensity. Right now, this is a beginner’s type class.
Most professional athletes participate in yoga. Why? Flexibility- they can’t afford a career injuring incident. You, also, are an athlete-you just don’t get paid for it! Build your outer strength while finding inner peace.
