Educational purposes. Please always consult your physician with any and all medical concerns.

I acquired my Master of Science in Anatomy and Physiology because of my appreciation of the function of our bodies as well as to be a source of knowledge for my patients. A large portion of my conversation with you is to encourage you to explore tools that will help you achieve your health goals. Frequently, I will suggest some new foods, supplements or exercises that I think you could benefit from. What I hear back is, “Oh it's the holidays, I can’t do that”, “I don't have time to exercise”, or “I forget to take my supplements”.  I know, I have been told, I ask for a lot which can be overwhelming in the real world.
Give yourself a break! You have not failed if you fall off “Dr. McGlynn’s optimal health plan”. Good food is always around you and if you overindulge in mashed potatoes and bread for one meal, go for a healthier choice for your next snack.  When you cannot carve out a small, designated portion of your day to exercise and stretch, you can implement some tools as you go about your normal activities. Try to do some isometric stomach crunches or isometric leg contractions while you're seated in your car or at your desk. Any chance that you do have, try to implement just one helpful tool a day. Doing one small item to improve or alleviate your pain starts with just one step.
